Five trending online jobs that emerged from our recession, I mean recovery!
Written by Eric Swain

www04If there is one positive outlook on our nation’s current economic status, it is that people have started to innovate ways to earn an income using the Internet.

Here are five trending jobs that people have found to earn an income:

1. Social Marketer– A career founded in the 1970’s that derived from the Health Care industry to promote and inform a mass audience about a product or service that would have a positive impact on the consumer. Using the ideology of Social Marketing, we have now incorporated “Media” into the mix utilizing the internet as our mass audience to spread the word out. As social networking grows deeper into business operations so will the need for “Social Media Marketers”.

2. Affiliate Marketing – Ever wanted to start a website that promoted other peoples products and services and then sit back and collect the profits from sales that were driven from your site? If so then this job is for you… Businesses have been taking notice for some time on the importance of mass marketing and some companies are willing to pay you a decent percentage to help them sell through banner or text ads placed on your site, anything that will drive consumers to the businesses website so that they can purchase.

3. Blogging– People like to write about anything they feel they have knowledge of shoot I am guilty as charged. I write about the most trended topic on the Internet, the one thing that almost everyone writes about, technology. Why do I do it? Probably for the same reason that most people blog, to share their information and experiences now I don’t expect to make money from this as I’m sure if you are reading this from my site you know that my main source of income is building and delivering technology to SMBs. There are those who make a decent living selling their blogs online and there are plenty of publications that are willing to purchase them as long as you write about a topic that they are interested in posting.

Here are a few sites that will pay you to blog:

4. Online Proof Reding Services – Now do not crucify me I know I misspelled “Reding” but that is my point. With so many people writing online there will always be a need for that one special person who will go through an article with a fine toothed comb and point out all of the little grammatical and spelling errors that you made and correct them. Luckily for me I’m not publishing this post to any major publication but if you find any errors… please be gentle.

5. Internet Researcher – If you have ever had to compile information for a term paper or publication you know that you will eventually need to find sources and information and for the most part that information can be found on the World Wide Web. One trending job opportunity that law firms and other businesses are willing to outsource is research. It is a tedious job that absorbs a lot of time and rarely has any compensatory value. I am not saying that what you will use the research for will not make you money I am talking strictly about the research behind it.
